My name is Álvaro Figueiredo. I’m a Graphic Designer specializing in Desktop Publishing for multilingual documents. I’m originally from Leiria, Portugal, and I’ve been based in Prague for the past several years. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Lisbon (FBAUL) in 2012.

My professional journey began working with a wide range of layout and DTP projects. Frequently with InDesign I recreated complete documents from PDFs — including brochures, manuals, marketing materials, UI presentations, and packaging — when clients no longer had editable source files. This required precision, consistency, and a strong understanding of typography, layout systems, and visual structure.

Over the last decade, I’ve handled thousands of multilingual projects involving complex formatting rules, character encodings, and language‑specific typographic challenges. I’ve developed methods for identifying layout patterns, recognizing font families, rebuilding baseline grids, and restoring interactive features such as automatic tables of contents and clickable navigation.

My work has also included supporting colleagues, training new team members, and clarifying technical processes for sales teams to ensure accurate communication with clients. These experiences strengthened my ability to collaborate, adapt, and maintain quality under tight deadlines.
